BetterAntispam is a free Discord honeypot bot. /honeypot settings (Manage Server) creates trap channels no legitimate member should post in. Posting there triggers the configured action, softban by default.

For owners who want a silent tripwire next to verification and anti-raid, not a replacement for them.

How to set a Discord honeypot

  1. 1Invite BetterAntispam. You need Manage Server for /honeypot settings.
  2. 2Run /honeypot settings. Create or pick a trap channel. Hide it from @everyone if you want only raiders who scrape channels to find it, or leave a decoy name that looks useful.
  3. 3Default action is softban. Change it if you want a harder or softer hit.
  4. 4Voice-channel traps are Shield.
  5. 5Log the hits with /logging settings.

What a honeypot actually does

  • A trap channel. Real members should never post there. Raiders, selfbots, and scrapers often do.
  • Default punishment is softban. You pick the action.
  • Voice honeypots are Shield.
  • This is not verification. Humans who read rules will not trip it. Bots that join and dump will.
