How to stop spam bots from flooding Discord
- 1Invite BetterAntispam. Leave Administrator on the invite.
- 2Run
/setup andpick a log channel. - 3Run
/antispam settings(Administrator). The panel is inside Discord. There is no website login. - 4Defaults: 5 messages in 5000ms triggers; 3 warnings before punishment; default punishment is a 5-minute mute.
- 5Caps detection fires at a 70% uppercase ratio. Duplicate detection needs 3 identical messages (2 if they are very short).
- 6Add scam domains and raid phrases to the word blacklist. Free tier: up to 50 words.
- 7Turn on
/logging settings(Administrator) for the antispam category. - 8Keep Discord AutoMod on as well. It can catch some links before they land.
What this anti-spam bot actually does
- Detects floods, duplicates, caps, overlong messages, ghost pings, link spam, embed spam, reaction spam, and edit spam.
- Default action is a 5-minute mute after 3 warnings. You can change the punishment in
/antispam settings. - Shield adds external bot-command spam detection, blacklists over 50 words, and a punishment approval gate where staff confirm before action.
/adblock settingscovers advertising in chat and in profiles.- This is not anti-raid. Join floods are
/antiraid settings.
